Party at Classic

Yes, I did go to a party at Classic Skating tonight, and it actually turned out to be quite fun. We have this friend, Ben, who recently got engaged to a girl named Kaycee and it was her birthday party tonight at Classic. However, this Kaycee (who Clark went to high school with and I've become friends with too) is Kaycee Stroh from the High School Musical movies. She's the nerdy hip-hop dancer in the first movie, then plays a friend of the main characters who gets a summer job as a chef in the second movie. They are currently in the process of filming HSM3 in Salt Lake so... you guessed it, there were a few castmates there tonight. Corbin Blue, who is quite good looking, was there so it was fun to skate around and watch him flirt with other girls. :) I also met Jamie from last season's "So You Think You Can Dance" (top 10, curly reddish hair). Liz and I wanted to get a picture with her, but got shy. She's a lot shorter in person. Anyway, we played on the blow up obstacle courses and everyone had a really good time.
Just so you know, I had to get these blogs in before I go out of town on Saturday so that's why it's so late and there's three in a row. I'll be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a week, then I'll just have to share some pics with you when we get back.

GNO!

Sadly Rachel and Doug are moving to New York next week for Dental School, but that did give us an awesome excuse to throw her a little going away party... just the girls! We had cheese and chocolate fondue, which was too good and I ate too much. We talked and laughed about old memories and made new ones in the process. Thanks to Holly and Heidi for hosting and Court and Em we missed you! We love you and will miss you Rach, but luckily we have these totally cool blogs to keep us in touch regularly. Good luck in New York!

Memorial Weekend!

So Rachelle, Heidi and I (and don't forget little Kohen) headed down to St. George for the weekend. It was a total girls trip and there was lots of girl talk. We went out to eat and stayed up way too late... for Heidi. Saturday we drove to Vegas to visit Courtney and got to spend some time with her and Matt, while shopping and going out to eat. We also met up with Rachel and Doug and some of their friends for dinner and a night of Wii and RockBand. We were also able to have a sleepover with Kathleen who's at Dixie for Dental Hygiene. All together the trip was a lot of fun and I'm grateful to Rachelle for letting us stay in her parents beautiful house. Let's do it again next year!

I did it!

I finally graduated from college and it feels so good to know that I won't have to write any more research papers. Just to give you a little more detail... I got my BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) with a major in Modern Dance, a minor in Health Education and I just finished my student teaching this semester so that I could receive my teaching certification. It was a long, fun ride and I'm going to miss some things, but I'm glad it's over. Now I can start a new chapter in my life, which is owning a dance studio.
It's now official, I am Artistic Director of Prodigy Dance Studio in Holladay, Utah. It's weird to say, but I love it! All of you can bring your kids to "my studio" when they grow a little bit. I'll be honest, it's a little overwhelming, but I am more excited than anything.
